8 Thoughts on How I Might Use Technology in my 09-10 Classroom

After two and a half days at the Adams 14/Center 26JT/Atomic Learning Global Learners Conference (wow that is a long title that I pretty much just made up), my head was really swimming – overloaded with information. Now after a little bit of down time and reflection, I’ve got some clear initial thoughts about some ways I might like to use what I learned about last week...

I've posted this at my professional blog, Ed. Sci. Tech. You can jump right to the whole post by clicking here.

Geez Howat,

You already have blog comments from the superintendent and Anne Truitt Zelenka. You have gotten more blog attention in a couple of days than I ever got. Rock on!

Haha. I was pretty surprised and honored that Dr. Chandler took the time to read and comment, that's for sure. I actually like blogging quite a bit, I just want to be sure to keep it up. I've found (last year and so far this year) than when I spend a few minutes a couple of times a day writing and reflecting that my teaching is more focused and "on form" and I'm more motivated to innovate.

I have read Tonia J. say the same thing about blogging. That it helped her focus her attention on what mattered most in class. I think I need to join the movement in a more focused way. I sure could use the reflection and clarity.

Jim,

Great start, I really like your new science room. I look forward to visiting your classes often.

Excellent ideas!! Let me know how the text the mob goes in your class. I'm thinking of doing something like this too.
