Ms. Schwichtenberg's Website

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know that my website is officially up and running. I'm very excited for everyone to see it and use it as you see fit! If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to consider them.
The website has 2 pages for students to access during literacy centers - these include access to I.B. unit information, videos, games, and podcasts. Parents also have access to curriculum, standards, calendars and activities to do at home with their children.

Check it out at http://schoolweb.acsd14.k12.co.us/kjschwic

Impressive website, Kelly! I really liked your IB unit pages with links to videos, podcasts and websites. I think it was organized well and easy to navigate. I'm interested to find out how well your first graders will use it!

Very impressive- your extensive website will be an awesome resource for your students, and along with Emily Taylor's site and Jeff Lewis' wikis demonstrate the quality content we are creating. They also serve as inspiration, since I said "we" I suppose I need to get to work on my website...good job!

I really liked how you organized the units of study, its easy to navigate and use. I'm excited to see your class and parents adding to and communicating through the site.

One question about using the UnitedStreaming videos - is it ok to have these videos available to directly download with our district license, or should we link to the site and have each site visitor sign in with their UnitedStreaming account info? I assumed that only those users paying for the service (such as ACSD14 teachers) should have free access to the videos and material, but other Global Learner teachers have the videos available directly. What does everyone think about this?

Good question Andrew - I recall, but could be wrong, that we ARE allowed to distribute our United Streaming information to parents. I remember a feeling of surprise that we could give the information to parents... Clarification anyone?
