Wiki work

I'm attempting to use my wiki in a "blackboard" sort of way. My students are posting their work to the wiki....this is as far as I've gotten so far! I feel good to have gotten this concept across to my language learners but please check it out! Today they will be posting paragraphs on pages they create themselves! I have small classes so I'm not too worried about stealing or manipulating other students' work....I don't think they have it completely figured out to be able to sabotage their classmates....hopefully it won't get to that!

check out our wiki and see what we're up to!

There is a link to American History Three and we are currently at causes of WWI! I would appreciate input and ideas! Feedback is awesome!

Tonia,

Cool site. I hope the students respond positively to this opportunity. Keep us up to date and let us know when major updates happen.

I like it too. Wikis are so easy to manipulate that it becomes an efficient way to post work like you are! It also becomes a very concrete collaborative effort. They can see the site grow and become better because of their collective work.

We are using it in the fourth grade in my reading group. alsuproom24.wikispaces.com I am posting links, videos and pictures that go along with the independent work they are responsible for. It has become a one-stop-shop for accessing specific information on the web. They are also posting some answers to questions, which has been a challenge for them. As we have discussed before, as these elementary kids move their way up to you, wiki-ing (a word?)will be second nature.
