Well, as many of you know, I will not be returning to Adams 14 this fall. That being said, however, I would like to, and intend to, stay hooked in with everyone here as much as I can. I'm going to be teaching at a charter school for gifted and talented kids working with 3rd and 4th grade, with one 6th and 7th grade English class.
My classroom is equipped with a laptop (for me), a SMART board, document camera, and 1:1 laptops for the kids... a Global Learners dream! :-D I'll share things I learn and resources I find, and fully intend to tap into the expertise here... especially since I've never worked with elementary students full time before! I'm super excited about the potential, and I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and re-learn from everyone here. It's kind of funny, actually... I remember all of those trainings when things that were more geared for elementary level were presented, and while I paid attention, I admittedly wasn't as focused on it since I figured "this is cool, but I'll never use it." Time to go back through all of my notes and our posts (!) and see what's there! :-)
