It was really fun to see the new global learners in action! I am impressed by the energy and excitement I felt in the group and the willingness of everyone to jump in and have fun with 21st century learning tools! I'm looking forward to working and collaborating with the new global learners.
We learned a lot today. I am really excited about the new tools for next school year. Today I was glad to see how easily technology could be infused into our SIOP lesson plans.
I have learned so much!!!! Everything is so cool. I think the Smart Board is my favorite. It will be a very interactive tool for students. I can't wait to have it in my classroom!
I am incredibly excited AND overwhelmed. I feel like I have so much to learn! Something tells me that this will work like my cellphone... "just play with it and you'll figure it out".
Even though I am feeling like this whirlwind of a training is leaving me confused and overwhelmed- this technology will REVOLUTIONIZE what and how I teach. I am ecstatic for my classroom next year!!!!!!
Wow! How exciting it was to walk in and be handed a laptop, camera, and projector! This is how trainings should all be: relevant, fun, and super beneficial to the classroom immediately. I feel so lucky to be a part of this Global Learners group. This will be an amazing year where Kindergartners are learning in a whole new way!
I'm tired! I must have created a hundred new accounts today... twitter, voki, skype, voicethread, wikispaces, delicious, etc, etc, etc. Phew... now I need to take all this information and spend A LOT more time messing around with it to really figure it out. One I learned is that I really have so much to learn, and I'll never be an expert. It's great knowing that others are all trying out these new applications as well. I feel more confident with all the other globabl learners to help me out!
Today was great. I feel like I learned a bunch about a variety of topics. I particularly liked learning about VoiceThread and wikis. I can absolutely see incorporating this into classroom use. I was impressed with the knowledge and the commitment of the global learners from last year who came to help us and train us. I also feel overwhelmed, but I think that this total technology emersion gave me many options of avenues to pursue. I look forward to tomorrow.
